1st time dining here, to my surprise, I did enjoy the food and service. Staff was very friendly and attentative. Prices were reasonable for the size of lunch plate. Parking is shared, but had ample parking spots available.
The mapo tofu was very beanie. The Kin Wah cake noodle was okay. But, the stuffed tofu was pretty good. We had to wait a little bit for a table. The atmosphere was good. Plus the food came pretty quick. So, I think this place gets 3 stars. 🙂 …
Excellent old school Cantonese food. Clean and friendly workers. Portions are large. You will not leave here hungry. The place has been here like forever! My go to place for Chinese food on the windward side of Oahu. Recommend.
I was in Hawaii for 30 days and I must have ate here nearly twice a week. I really wish I discovered this place earlier. I am from the Bay area, so I live near Oakland and SF Chinatown. The food here at Kin Wah is far superior than anything I can get back at home. I know it sounds crazy, but Chinese food hasn't been the same for the last 10 years plus here in the Bay area. The Chow Fun at Kin Wah reminds me of my childhood. Hands down the best Chinese food I've had in a while. Top picks: Beef Chow Fun with black bean sauce Dry style, Won ton with Chili Green Onion and Ginger sauce and Peking duck with buns. Prices are very reasonable (especially when you compare to Bay area prices). The Owners and workers are all very nice. I wanted to give a shout out to Lisa and Jay, thank you for creating a great dining experience for me. I will be back next year.
Our family has been coming here since they opened there doors. Now whenever I fly in to visit we stop by if possible every dish is just delicious.
They're finally open for dine in again!
Service was fast and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious.
My favorite Chinese restaurant this side of the island.
Since the cook changed I notice the gon lo mein is really oily. It's too greasy and has less char sui. The oyster sauce chicken is really good especially with cake noodles. The food as a whole is more well done, but I prefer it like before, done just right. The cake noodles were on the burnt side.
This place seems its been here since ancient Hawaiian days. The food was tasty and delicious. Definitely worth taking the family out to. Everything we ordered was presented in nice portions. The price was par
